Here are some areas that we have improved or been able to fix in the Gradebook since my last update last month thanks to Craig and the ESD staff. I hope this will help you as we continue to improve the Gradebook to make it more user friendly. Please forward this to all faculty.
· Posting Status: Teachers can now run a report to see their own posting status. The report is “Granite Teacher Posting Status (Elem)” for elementary teachers and “Granite Teacher Posting Status (Sec)” for secondary teachers. So now the STS/LMETS are not the only ones who can see that.
· The following problems have been fixed:
o Performance Codes: not saving when a teacher uses the arrow keys on the Progress and Grades screen has now been fixed.
o Attendance: being displayed as zeros on the Progress and Grades screen fixed.
o Change scores: Issue with teachers being unable to save scores after they change the number of points possible on an existing assignment to something lower than the highest score in the Gradebook corrected.
o Emails sent from the parent/student portal: being sent to the teacher twice fixed.
o Emails sent to teachers from the parent/student portal: will now include the course title, pattern and period.
o Issues with emails being sent to parents/students: who have signed up for automatic email notification now works
o Some courses being displayed multiple times: in the Class List for Dual Immersion teachers fixed.
o Issue with Progress Grades: not being displayed in the Parent/Student portal works
o When a contact has their name changed in Discovery, the name for their Gradebook Portal account will be changed as well.
o Custom Sort: When teachers setup a custom sort of students in their class it will retain the same sort when the teacher logs in again.
o Issues with the Transcript view of students who are enrolled in multiple locations works
o Teachers should now see the period and pattern when selecting classes on the Reports screen.
o Teachers can now refill posted progress and final grades from the Gradebook without having to manually remove all of the previously posted grades. (Note: this may not work yet in newer versions of IE.)
o Teachers can now delete assignments directly from the Gradebook screen without having to remove all student scores. (Note: this may not work yet in newer versions of IE.)
· Granite Assignments by Student and Assignments by Section reports have been updated to display assignments in two columns instead of one to hopefully save a few trees this year. Also, the happy little NaN (Not a Number) error is that students received when had 0/0 points is now gone as well.
